LUNAR GOLD PRODUCTIONS
Birmingham, UK.
Founded by Taran Erhart-Bains.
Dedicated to creating original, high quality audio visual content in the areas of promotional video, motion graphics and short film.
I am a British filmmaker of Austrian-Indian heritage with ambitions to create a wide ranging portfolio of work including short films, screenplays and eventually feature films. The craft of filmmaking is an art form I have a great passion for and began as an appreciation for the moving image during university productions. With a particular focus on narrative film, these creative concepts grew into practical goals and Lunar Gold was formed.
Participating in film workshops and challenges at the Midlands Art Centre has allowed me to work with a range of different age groups and expand my understanding of the filmmaking process.
Taking part in an intensive lab week consisted of forming basic storyboards, shooting schedules and treatments before operating as a production assistant or set designer with the support of Maverick TV who we pitched our initial ideas to.
Since this experience, I have continued to broaden my skillset by branching out into covering live events such as fundraising evenings as a videographer and editor. The creative industries are continually changing and therefore we always try to seek out meaningful and impacting projects such as recent music videos with Coventry based artist EYEDEN which were featured in London Newspaper Londra Gazette and upcoming dystopian short film Hoodwink.
This production company aims to bring together aspiring and established creatives to produce alternative and engaging work.

Dedicated to creating original, high quality audio visual content in the areas of promotional video, motion graphics and short film.
I am a British filmmaker of Austrian-Indian heritage with the mission of creating a body of work including short films, screenplays and eventually feature films. The craft of filmmaking is an art form I have a great passion for and began as an appreciation for the moving image during my studies at the University of Wolverhampton. With a particular focus on narrative film, these creative concepts grew into practical goals and Lunar Gold was formed.
Participating in film workshops and challenges at the Midlands Art Centre has allowed me to work with a range of different age groups and expand my understanding of the filmmaking process.
Since these experiences I have continued to broaden my skillset and seek out impactful source material that I have genuine passion towards. This has included creating multiple music videos with Coventry based artist EYEDEN which were featured in London Newspaper Londra Gazette. More recently I directed a short film called Broken Vases which was officially selected at the Wolverhampton Film Festival in 2023 and covered BTS for Midlands Fashion Designer Jheez at London Fashion Week and a Documentary Premiere at The Midlands Art Centre.
